As we come into the holiday season and the end of 2017, I wanted to take this time to say thank you to my wonderful clients and the amazing network of people who make GTD the best it can be! It's been a year of transition and growth for me and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of my clients, friends and the many professional collaborations I've made along the way with their great business advice! It was an exciting year for us with our expansion to the Westside and Valley, as we now offer the same luxury services to a whole new roster of clients. A lot of hard work by our team here at GTD has brought this vision to light and I'm very grateful. Thank you to [...]

Is your "Fashion Sense" tingling? Mine is, although the recent heatwave we've been experiencing is certainly throwing it off! Fall is a favorite time of year for me. The weather becomes crisp and out come the boots, coats and accessories! I always find cold-weather (or what we consider cold here in Los Angeles) is more exciting because of the different layers and the way the same pair of jeans can look different with boots rather than sandals. GTD Image Consulting helps you to make confident choices when adding to your wardrobe or putting outfits together at any time of the year, no matter the temperature! Below is my shopping guide for the top 2017 Fall Trends: Plaid - This classic pattern can easily be mixed into your existing wardrobe. Perhaps there may [...]

It is very easy to forget to celebrate the milestones in my journey as a business owner.  It's amazing that it has been less than a year since I re-branded to GTD Image Consulting, launched a new website and started to earnestly communicate on a regular basis with my readers.   I wanted to take a moment to stop and thank everyone who has helped me in the process, most especially my Brand Manager, Francine Hwang.  She has been instrumental in helping to take my vision from concept to creation. My clients are the reason why I wake up excited to take on each day. I am truly grateful to help them, and seeing my work appreciated by so many, is something I deeply value. I have also enjoyed the support of [...]

What to Pack for a Warm Weather Getaway

By |2017-06-12T01:18:50-07:00March 9th, 2017|Categories: Uncategorized|

With the rain and cold temperatures we've been having in LA, I'm now longing for a warm weather getaway!  Hawaii anyone?  Or how about Cabo?  In my previous newsletter I recommended some stylish and practical items to keep you warm, but if you're now ready for a tropical destination, below are a few essentials to keep you looking great and feeling cool. My recommendations: 1. Breezy Dresses Perfect for throwing on over your bathing suit or for a dinner out! Dresses are a no-fuss option to bring for warm weather.  Keep your look casual with flats or sandals for day, then you can dress it up with a pair of wedges later.  Opt for more fun colors or prints you wouldn't typically wear back at home. 1. Bohemian Caftan 2. Lafayette 148 [...]

Winter Getaway Essentials

By |2017-06-12T01:18:50-07:00February 2nd, 2017|Categories: Uncategorized|

With all the rain we've been having here in Los Angeles you might be planning a winter getaway, because in the mountains, that means snow!  Whether you will be strolling city sidewalks or sitting by the fire in a country cabin, I have some great essentials to pack, keep you warm and of course, looking great. My recommendations: 1. Layers Forgo the bulky sweaters which are tough to pack and oftentimes don't fit well under a coat. Those wool sweaters also limit your ability to switch up outfits with different accessories.  Instead opt for turtlenecks or long sleeve tees which can be worn on their own, under a cardigan or button down shirt or under a jacket.  You can also change up your look by wrapping a scarf around you.  Here is [...]

5 Things to Cut from Your Closet

By |2017-06-12T01:18:50-07:00January 18th, 2017|Categories: Uncategorized|

A quick closet cleanup is a great way to start the New Year off right, after all everyone has to get dressed in the morning.  Why not make it as easy as possible! Dedicate a weekend to organizing your closet using my tips below. 1. Freebies We probably all could use more space (and definitely more organization) when it comes to our closets.  Freebies or giveaways such as promotional tees, canvas bags, and tchotchkes should all be donated, repurposed or thrown out.  Save your closet space for items you love! 2. Old Shoeboxes As much as we love opening a newly purchased pair of shoes with its pristine shoe box, the fact is by keeping them, they are just taking up space.  Even the resale stores don't want them!  Most shoe boxes [...]

Back to School…Well Now it’s Back to Work!

By |2017-06-12T01:18:50-07:00September 13th, 2016|Categories: Uncategorized|

Greetings! I hope you had a wonderful summer! For me, when fall hits and the kids are finally back in school, it gets me motivated to address that long list of projects I put aside during the summer. You know the one! The first thing I love to do is to go through what I call a "seasonal refresh" of my closet and wardrobe and get organized for the change in weather (besides who doesn't need an excuse to make room for some new fall fashions?) Below are my 3 tips on how to complete a "seasonal-refresh" on your own: Review and store Review clothing you wore during the summer. Inspect the clothes for any stains or rips. If you need to replace an item, make a note of it for your summer shopping list. Launder or dry-clean any necessary items, [...]
